UPS was included on Inbound Logistics' list of Who's Who in Air Cargo, defined as "companies that are taking airfreight shippers to new heights of innovation and collaboration." The magazine's market survey solicited more than 50 airlines, airfreight forwarders, expeditors and third-party logistics providers to provide feedback. The non-ranking list cited UPS for value-added services and specialties like UPS Air Freight ConsolidatedSM, Trade Direct(R), and ground freight/LTL.
UPS Chairman and CEO Scott Davis was among the top 5 CEOs in the Airfreight & Surface Transportation sector, according to a study by Institutional Investor magazine. The publication surveyed 900 analysts and portfolio managers who identified the best CEOs in the industry sectors in which they invest for being transparent with shareholders and "smart with their companies' balance sheets."
UPS again was named to Barron's magazine's list of World's Most Respected Companies, ranking #11. Professional money managers across the country were asked to give their opinion of the 100 largest companies in the world, based on total stock-market capitalization, and to assess survey statements with responses ranging from "Highly Respect" to "Don't Respect".
UPS again was recognized one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. Companies were chosen based on best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability.
UPS Brazil won the "2008 Supplier of the Year" award and "Top Performance" recognition by businesses for effective warehouse management for the GE Healthcare Company.
UPS ranked second in Institutional Investor's list of the top airfreight and surface transportation companies at investor relations. Over 650 analysts and portfolio managers were asked to name the best U.S. companies in terms of various investor relations attributes in the sectors in which they invest.
UPS was recognized as the winner of the American Brand Excellence Award in the Business Services category. The UPS Store received the same honor for the Retail category. More than 1,400 business owners and managers of small and mid-sized businesses chose brands that they felt best met the needs of their businesses.
UPS ranked #1 on the Journal of Commerce's list of trucking companies.
UPS ranked third in the Reputation Institute's Global Pulse 2009 study of the most reputable companies in the U.S. UPS followed Johnson & Johnson and Kraft Foods. The study surveyed 30,000 consumers in 29 countries who rated companies based on overall respect, trust, esteem, admiration and "good feelings."

An annual reputation quotient survey by Harris Interactive showed that UPS again is among the most visible companies in the eyes of American consumers. The Reputation Institute indicated that a company's reputation is built on seven pillars: products/services, innovation, workplace, citizenship, governance, leadership, and performance.
UPS was cited as having the best commercial fleet by Light & Medium Truck magazine. The 100 companies on the list were ranked based on the number of trucks, regardless of size, owned or leased.
UPS ranked No. 24 on the 100 Most Powerful Brands list, published by global market research and consulting firm Millward Brown and the Financial Times newspaper. The ranking combines the financials with solid measures of consumer sentiment derived from a repository of brand equity data.

For the second consecutive year, UPS landed on BusinessWeek's list of Best Places to Launch a Career. The magazine bases its ranking on a survey of more than 37,000 U.S. employees who rate their companies on pay, benefits, retention and training programs.
UPS is among the 100 Best Places to Work in IT, as listed by ComputerWorld magazine. The survey includes companies based on organizations' average salary and bonus increases, the percentage of IT employees receiving promotions, IT staff turnover rates, training and development opportunities, and the percentage of women and minorities in IT staff and management positions.
Forbes recognized UPS as one of the Platinum 400: America's Best Big Companies, passing the business magazine's benchmarks for financial growth rates and returns, corporate governance, accounting standards and background checks.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. has selected UPS as the Best Small Package Carrier of the Year.
The annual award recognizes one small package carrier based on a variety of criteria, including on-time performance, billing accuracy, ease of doing business, claims performance, management team communication, flexibility, dependability, technology integration and overall exceptional customer service.

The award, based on 2006 performance, was announced August 27 in Bentonville, Ark at Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters.
UPS' outstanding performance as a multi-faceted transportation provider has been acknowledged by its winning Logistics Management's 24th annual "Quest for Quality" award. The award is given based on survey where shippers are asked to grade a company's performance, value, information technology, customer service, equipment and operations. Quest for Quality recognizes expedited motor, air express, freight forwarders, surface package and multi-regional less-than-truckload carriers.
UPS Senior Vice President Bob Stoffel was named winner of the 3PL Executive Excellence Award at the June 2007 North American 3PL Summit coordinated by eyefortransport, a global provider of logistics and transportation information and services. Stoffel was cited for his leadership in building the expanded supply chain capabilities of UPS.
UPS CFO Scott Davis, now Chairman and CEO, was named Best Chief Financial Officer in the Airfreight and Surface Transportation Industry by Institutional Investor magazine. Portfolio managers and brokerage firm research analysts were asked to choose the best American CFOs in 62 industries.
Business Week included UPS in the Top 10 of its first-ever ranking of "Customer Service Champs."
The magazine ranked UPS No. 1 in the shipping industry and No. 8 overall out of the Top 25 "client-pleasing brands" that stand out as the best providers of customer service.
UPS was cited for its delivery reliability, training of drivers and managers and its embrace of advanced technology to improve efficiency and customer service at the same time.
