UPS Announces Three Top Financial Assignments

, August 09, 2007

Scott Davis, UPS (NYSE:UPS) vice chairman and chief financial officer, today announced a series of three appointments to key financial posts. Rich Peretz has been named vice president of finance; Teresa Finley the chief financial officer for international operations, and Andy Dolny the vice president of investor relations.

Peretz, 45, most recently has worked as the vice president of international finance. He will report to Davis and will be responsible for the functions of Treasury, procurement, risk management, investments and mergers and acquisitions.

Finley, 45, has served as UPS's vice president of investor relations since November 2003 and will succeed Peretz, functioning as the chief financial officer for UPS's international operations. She will report to UPS International President Alan Gershenhorn.

Dolny, 49, a certified public accountant and chief financial officer of UPS Supply Chain Solutions, will succeed Finley as the company's top investor relations officer. He will report to Davis.

"We have three extraordinarily qualified and seasoned professionals in Rich, Teresa and Andy and I'm confident they will be successful in these new assignments," said Davis. "These are all very positive moves for these individuals and for the organization."

Peretz joined UPS in 1981 as a part-time clerk while earning a degree in accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He then moved into management and through a series of accounting and financial positions of increasing responsibility. Peretz earned his MBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School in 1995 and then moved through a series of finance positions in domestic small package operations and international operations for Latin America. He became vice president of the Strategic Cost Group in 1999 and became international CFO in 2003.

Finley is a 23-year veteran of the company who began her career as an accounting supervisor after graduation from Marquette University with a degree in Business Administration. She progressed through a series of finance and accounting positions in domestic small package operations as well as corporate finance. She then moved into marketing, overseeing pricing, forecasting, planning and research prior to her move to investor relations. Finley graduated from the Wharton Business School Advanced Management Program in 2006.

Dolny, 49, is a 25-year UPS veteran who began his career as an accounting supervisor after working three years with Deloitte and Touche. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport with a bachelor's degree in accounting, Dolny most recently directed Business Information and Analysis, which among other areas is responsible for evaluating UPS's competitive position, and worked as the top financial officer of UPS Supply Chain Solutions, the arm of the company that provides supply chain and freight services. He previously worked as the manager of the Corporate Accounting Department.
