UPS Announces Four Senior Executive Appointments in Asia

Andy Connelly Retires as South District Head

UPS, the global transportation and logistics leader, today announced the retirement of Andy Connelly, Senior Vice President of South District in the Asia Pacific region, and a reshuffle of four senior executives in Asia effective May 1, 2009.

Craig Foster will succeed Connelly as Senior Vice President of UPS South District in the Asia Pacific region. In this role, he will assume overall responsibilities for UPS package and supply chain operations in 29 countries in Asia, including Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Mary Yeo, Managing Director of UPS Singapore for the past nine years has been appointed Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for UPS South District, filling the position previously held by Foster. Mary will have responsibility for UPS’s supply chain operations in South Asian markets including Australia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand.

Gillian Sim, currently Vice President of Supply Chain Operations at UPS North District in the Asia Pacific region, will assume a new role as Managing Director of UPS Singapore. Gillian will be responsible for the strategic management of UPS’s business in Singapore. She was previously the Managing Director of UPS Philippines from 2005 to 2006, and UPS Malaysia from 2001 to 2003.

Succeeding Sim as Vice President of Supply Chain Operations at UPS North District is Lancelot Lee, currently Director of UPS North China. In his new position, Lancelot is responsible for leading UPS’s supply chain operations in Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. He has more than 15 years of experience in the logistics industry.
