According to the 2006 Annual RQSM, a survey measuring the reputations of the nation's most visible companies, conducted by Harris InteractiveŽ, UPS ranks #1 for people's "trust in the company to do the right thing in the event of a product/service problem, excellent customer service, and sincerity of corporate communications among US companies." For overall reputation, UPS ranked #7 among the 60 most visible companies in the United States.
The survey polled more than 20,000 respondents, who ranked companies' reputations based on 20 attributes in six categories: financial performance, social responsibility, workplace environment, products and services, vision and leadership, and emotional appeal.
In addition to the top rankings, UPS also was ranked in the top 4 in seven other reputation related categories: ethical standards, consistent corporate communications, distinctive corporate communications, correct and accurate information with corporate communications, easily recognizable corporate communications, corporate communications provides consistent messages and corporate communications that have a common look and feel.
"Clearly the quality and integrity of this company continue to be recognized broadly across the country. We are very proud of this reputation and also realize the responsibility we have to maintain this precious attribute," said Kurt Kuehn, UPS senior vice president worldwide sales and marketing. "This is a great accolade to celebrate in this special year, our Centennial," he added.
