As president of The UPS Foundation, Lisa M. Hamilton is responsible for its global philanthropic initiatives. She manages volunteer programs, grants, education initiatives, relationships with diversity partners and disaster relief activities. Hamilton also focuses on leveraging UPS’s financial, intellectual and physical assets to support organizations and programs that address community safety, nonprofit effectiveness, economic and global literacy, environmental sustainability and diversity.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia and a juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan. Hamilton began her career as a tax attorney in private practice with the Atlanta law firm of Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Martin. 

Hamilton joined UPS in 1996 in the tax department as Tax Research and Planning Manager.

She later served as Program Director of The UPS Foundation. In her position, she helped manage the global grant programs, including those recommended by volunteer employee involvement committees in UPS operations around the world.

Prior to her current position, Hamilton was a Public Affairs Manager in Washington, D.C., focusing on tax, healthcare, financial services, and legal reform issues. 

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Hamilton serves on the board of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Boston College Center on Corporate Citizenship, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center, and the Atlanta Education Fund. She also has served as a board member of such charitable organizations as the Foundation for Independent Higher Education National Venture Fund, Great Schools Atlanta, the High Museum of Art Community Relations Committee, Literacy Volunteers of America - Metropolitan Atlanta, and the Walter Ridley Scholarship Fund at the University of Virginia.
