Kewill to Offer UPS Shipper Release

New Feature Allows “First-Attempt” Delivery Without Signature

MARLBOROUGH and ATLANTA, Aug. 25, 2004 – Kewill Solutions North America (LSE:KWL) and UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced Kewill’s ClipperShip® and Javalin™ products support a new UPS shipper release feature.

The feature, available with UPS’s integrated portfolio of domestic air and ground services, allows the shipper to request that shipments be delivered on the first attempt without a signature.

This option is particularly useful for those shipping time-sensitive documents or perishable goods, as well as companies delivering to residential and rural addresses. UPS customer Omaha Steaks International, a producer of high-end perishable foods, benefits from the shipper release feature, because its product mandates timely delivery to avoid spoilage that might result if returned through the usual UPS service feature of multiple delivery attempts and return.

“This is an excellent tool that our customer base can use to increase their customers’ shipping options,” said Bill Owen, chief operating officer of Kewill Solutions North America. “We are pleased to be working with UPS to provide this new service offering to our extensive customer base,” continued Owen.

“UPS continues to look for new options, such as shipper release, to enhance service for our customers,” said Jordan Colletta, vice president of customer technology marketing for UPS. “With Kewill’s customer base and reputation in the industry, as well as status as a UPS Online Compatible Vendor, it makes sense to work together to speed shipper release to market.”

Any shipper who uses UPS Internet Shipping, UPS CampusShip™ and ConnectShip™ also can access shipper release. UPS WorldShip® users will be able to use the new feature in January 2005. Shipper release cannot be used with C.O.D. service, any UPS return service, signature required or adult signature required delivery confirmation. Customers can call 1-800-PICK-UPS for more information.
